Looking at the two photos above the one on the left displays a young girl dressed in pink who does not appear to be trying to be sexy or seductive at all complared to the picture of the right. So the question I am asking is whether the color pink has anything to do with sexuality.
In the video we watched in class today one of the woman seemed so sure that the color pink was making young girls more prone to acting and dressing sexy and I feel that this is not the case. Sure many sexy advertising imagines in the media use the colour pink but not all do. Most companys use a variety of colors for example in this ad by Victoria Secret uses the color blue and this image would still be considered sexy by most.
So to me this means that any color can be made sexy its all about whats going on in the ad. The reason I think that the lady in the video figured the color pink has sexual meanings is because a lot of ads use the color; it is a stereotypical girl color where darker colors are stereotypical for men. Just because I girl likes the color pink doesn't mean she is going to start acting and dressing like a postitute.
